Area Details
To enhance your experience, we’ve included detailed information about the area surrounding your treasure hunt. This will help you get familiar with the area, navigate more easily, and immerse yourself fully in the adventure.
You can park at the Cincinnati Art Museum's parking lot. Parking is completely free. There are several visitor parking lots surrounding the museum, so finding a spot is usually easy.
Accessible parking spaces are available, and both wheelchairs and strollers can enter through the museum's main entrance.
Visiting by bicycle? Bike racks are located just outside the front entrance, making it easy to lock up your bike before beginning your adventure.
Planning to arrive by bus? While buses can't park on museum grounds, they are welcome to drop off and pick up passengers at the museum's main entrance.
Want to enjoy a picnic after your adventure?
The Cincinnati Art Museum offers several outdoor spots where you can relax and enjoy your own food. Picnic tables are located near the Pinocchio sculpture by the museum's main entrance, and you'll also find plenty of benches and scenic green spaces throughout the museum grounds.
Restrooms are available throughout the Cincinnati Art Museum, with the largest and most accessible facilities located on the Ground Floor.
Additional restrooms can be found on the First Floor in the northwest corner of the Great Hall and on the Second Floor near Gallery 213. Changing stations are available in most accessible restrooms.
If you need an accessible or family-friendly restroom, the Ground Floor offers the widest range of amenities, including gender-neutral restrooms and an adjustable universal changing station.
The Cincinnati Art Museum is very accessible and is a great choice for visitors using wheelchairs or strollers. Elevators provide access to each floor, and most of the treasure hunt follows wide, accessible galleries.
Need a wheelchair or stroller? Both are available to borrow free of charge from the coat rooms near the Main and DeWitt entrances (no reservation needed).
Benches are located throughout the museum if you'd like to take a break along the way, and service dogs are welcome in accordance with ADA guidelines.

Professor Arthur Hunt's favorite place to grab a bite is the Terrace Café inside the Cincinnati Art Museum. It's a relaxing spot to enjoy lunch, coffee, or a sweet treat without ever leaving the museum. I took my girlfriend on the treasure hunt at the Cincinnati Art museum because she is into that stuff. It was fantastic! The Hunt took us all around the art museum, and was a great, unique way to take in the museum in a really fun manner!

5 Tips for a Better Experience
Some of the clues telling you where to go can be quite long and have multiple steps. Listen or read to the whole thing before setting out, then take it a little at a time.
The quizzes or riddles may be too difficult for young children. However, so they aren’t overshadowed by their older brothers or sisters, you can often make up a “Little Kids” question on the spot. Ask very simple “I Spy…”, “Can you find the…?”, “What color is…?”, or “How many …… are there” type questions.
Just to pass on one important input from other parents, when they first started the hunt they remarked they couldn’t help blurt out the answers and lead the way. Just parental habit taking over. Bad parent! Relax. Let the kids take the lead – but you seriously need to keep on your toes or you’ll get lost as many of the clues can be tricky and challenging to even adults.
Make it a real outing by going some where afterwards to have lunch or dinner or just something to drink. It’s a lot fun to sit afterwards with the kids or your date and talk about your shared adventure!
The treasure at the end of our hunts is the answer to the mystery question posed at the beginning. However, you can make your own treasure by bring along candy bars or something to give out as a “prize” if you reach the end.
