Cincinnati Treasure Hunts is a self-guided, interactive experience that takes you on an adventure through the city! You’ll follow clues, solve puzzles, and explore iconic spots (and hidden gems) along the way — all from your phone. Think of it as part escape room, part walking tour, part scavenger hunt... all fun.
Pretty much everyone! Whether you're a local looking for a new way to see the city, a tourist visiting for the weekend, a couple looking for a creative date, or a parent planning a family outing — our hunts are designed for all ages and groups.
Yes! As long as you're up for a light walk and a fun challenge, you’re good to go. Our puzzles are made to be clever but not frustrating — no advanced knowledge or experience needed.
Nope! In fact, many of our favorite customers are visitors. You don’t need to know anything about the city — our clues and challenges are designed for first-timers and locals alike.
Definitely! Most of our hunts are family-friendly and fun for kids around ages 8 and up (with some adult help on a few clues). If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out and we’ll recommend the best hunt for your crew.
Just your phone, comfy walking shoes, and a sense of adventure! Some folks like to bring water or snacks, too — especially on sunny days.
Group Info & Accessibility
Absolutely! Many people enjoy our hunts solo — it’s a great way to explore the city, challenge your brain, and enjoy some quality time with yourself. You’ll have just as much fun playing on your own as you would in a group.
Some of our treasure hunts are wheelchair and stroller accessible, but others include steep steps, natural rock paths, or hilly terrain that may not be suitable. If accessibility is a concern, we recommend checking the hunt description before booking or reaching out to us directly — we’ll be happy to point you toward the best options for your group.
Each group can include up to 7 people. If you have 8 or more, no problem — you’ll just need to split into smaller groups. This helps keep everyone engaged and ensures everyone gets a chance to solve clues and participate. Many larger groups like to turn it into a fun competition to see which team finishes first!
If your group has more than 7 people, you’ll need to split into smaller groups. Each group must book separately so they can receive their own unique treasure hunt link. This way, everyone gets the full experience and can enjoy the hunt without crowding around a single device. It’s also a great chance to add some friendly competition between teams!

Booking is easy! Just head to our website, choose the hunt you want to play, select your date and time, and check out — all online. Once you’ve booked, you’ll get an email with everything you need to get started.

We’re happy to host large groups and have worked with groups as big as 40 people! While we don’t offer formal corporate event packages, we can help you plan a fun group outing with multiple smaller teams. Just reach out to us through our contact form or call us at (859)468-9240, and we’ll guide you through the best way to organize your adventure.
Yes — as long as the hunt is still available. Our hunts are self-guided and don’t require a host, so you can book and play on the same day.
We get it — plans change! If you need to reschedule, just contact us before your original hunt date and we’ll do our best to help. Most hunts can be moved to a new date without a problem.
First, check your spam or promotions folder — sometimes emails hide there. If you still don’t see it within 15 minutes of booking, contact us and we’ll resend it right away.
If the weather isn’t cooperating on the day of your hunt, no worries! Just send us a message or call us at (859)468-9240 and we’ll be happy to reschedule your booking or issue a full refund. We want you to enjoy the experience, and we totally understand that outdoor adventures are better when the skies are clear!
Payments, Refunds, Gift Cards, and Discounts
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as secure online payments through services like Apple Pay and Google Pay (depending on your device). If you’re having trouble at checkout, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to help!
Absolutely. All payments are processed through secure, encrypted systems to protect your information. We never store or see your full payment details ourselves — it’s all handled by our trusted payment processor.
We don’t offer discounts or promo codes at this time. We work hard to keep our pricing fair and affordable for everyone year-round. If that ever changes, we’ll be sure to share any updates on our website or social media!
We don’t offer gift cards or gift certificates at this time. We used to, but we’ve since phased them out. If we bring them back in the future, we’ll be sure to announce it on our website and social media.
Yes, we do offer refunds in certain situations. If you need to cancel due to bad weather or a change of plans, we’re happy to issue a full refund — just let us know before your scheduled hunt. Prefer to reschedule instead? No problem! We can move your booking to a new date and time that works better for you.
If your payment fails, double-check that your billing info is correct or try a different card. Still having issues? Reach out to us and we’ll look into it — no worries!
We don’t offer special pricing or corporate discounts at this time. Each group (up to 7 people) must book separately to receive their own hunt link. That said, we’re always happy to help large groups plan an awesome experience — just reach out if you have questions or need help booking multiple groups!
Treasure Hunts
Each treasure hunt includes a mix of riddles, trivia, and “I Spy”–style challenges. You’ll use your surroundings — like signs, landmarks, public art, and architecture — to solve clues, find your next destination, or answer questions along the way. The challenges are designed to be clever and fun, not frustrating.
All of our hunts are self-guided. That means you get to start whenever you like, go at your own pace, and take small breaks whenever you want — no tour guides, appointments, or time limits!
Yes! Each hunt has its own unique theme, route, and set of clues based on the neighborhood or area you're exploring. You can try multiple hunts without running into repeats.
Most of our hunts take place outdoors, guiding you through Cincinnati’s streets, parks, and neighborhoods. We do offer one indoor hunt at the Cincinnati Art Museum. If a hunt takes place indoors, it will be clearly noted on the booking page so you know what to expect.
After you book, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your hunt link and instructions. When you’re ready to play, just click the link on your phone and follow the prompts to begin!
Each hunt starts at a specific public location — usually a well-known landmark. You’ll get the exact starting spot in your confirmation email, so you can plan your trip ahead of time.
Nope! Everything runs right in your mobile browser. Just click the link we send you an hour before your hunt starts — no downloads, logins, or app store headaches required.
We’ll send your link via email an hour before your treasure hunt starts. It’s a unique URL that gives you access to the treasure hunt — just tap it on your phone when you're ready to start. (Tip: Make sure your email address is entered correctly at checkout!)
Yes — you can pause the hunt at any time if you need a quick break, but it’s best to complete it in one go. The link stays active for your session, but it may not work properly if you wait too long or come back the next day. We recommend setting aside enough time to finish the hunt in one outing.
If you get stuck on a clue, don’t worry — it happens! While we don’t have a built-in hint system or on-site staff, you can always swipe ahead to the next clue and keep the adventure going. Each hunt is designed to be fun and flexible, so feel free to skip anything that slows you down — it’s all about enjoying the experience.
Most hunts take about 60 to 90 minutes, depending on your pace and how often you stop to explore, snack, or snap photos. You’re welcome to take your time — there’s no timer or pressure to rush.
