You can park at Fountain Square garage or at the Garfield garage, just take a left at 9th and Vine by the Public Library. Cost is only $2 on weekends and $1/hr weekdays up to a maximum of $6.
Just a tip - be sure you take your ticket with you - don't leave it in the car as you pay at the machines at the entrance, not the attendant at the exit.
There are public bathrooms on Fountain Square but only open from 11 am - 2 pm.
There is 1 set of stairs and 1 escalator along the route that will probably require you unbuckle your child and carry the stroller at those points.
Unfortunately because there is no elevator near the steps section, this hunt is probably not good if you have a wheel chair.
Perhaps something to eat and drink after your hunt while recapping the highlights?
Good casual eating places are Panera Bread at 6th and Vine, Potbelly Sandwiches, Chipotle, and Graeter's on Fountain Square, and the historical Haiwatha diner in the Pogue's Arcade in Carew Tower - Professor Hunt's favorite downtown diner to go to for lunch when visiting Cincinnati. There is also a Skyline up Vine at 7th and Vine.
Nicer places are Via Vita and the Rockbottom Brewery on Fountain Square and Fusion sushi on 6th across from Panera.
Important Notes
- When you park, be sure you take your ticket with you. Don’t leave it in the car as you pay at the machines at the entrance, not the attendant at the exit.
