Over the Rhine Hunt

Did you know Cincinnati gave the world one of the most famous great American musical compositions ever? One on par with Gerswin’s “Raphsody in Blue” , Souza’s “Stars & Stripes Forevery”, or Ellington’s “A Train”. It’s been used to waken astronauts on the Space Shuttle, herald the entrance of Queen Elizabeth, opened concerts for the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan, and was the basis for the theme songs of the movies “Saving Private Ryan” and “Superman”?

Intrigued? Well on this hunt thru one of Cincinnati’s most colorful neighborhoods you’ll learn of one more reason to be proud of your city!

The starting point is in Washington Park right across from the entrance steps to Music Hall.

There are 3 exit stairs out of the garage. Please use either the Music Hall North Exit or Music Hall South Exit as these will take you to the starting point for the hunt across from Music Hall.

There are public bathrooms located in Washington Park.

The course is completely flat so this hunt is excellent if you have a stroller, wheelchair, or an older person with you.

Perhaps something to eat and drink after your hunt while recapping the highlights?

There are dozens of restaurants along the way . If you want something more casual and a little less expensive, the closest fast food is Skyline Chili at the corner of Court St and Vine. That is 1 block south of Central Parkway.
